Crystal ClearŽ +Soft is the same predictable Crystal
ClearŽ premium bite guard that Keller has exclusively
produced for over a decade with an added "soft" benefit - TalonŽ.
Crystal ClearŽ +Soft is a patented dual lamination of two thermoplastics, Clear 450™ and TalonŽ.
The injection-molded outer layer, made from Keller's Clear 450, is hard,
durable, and non-porous. The inner layer, TalonŽ,
is a heat-sensitive elastomeric liner. Before seating,
hot tap water softens this inner layer and allows the
splint to adapt to the individual tooth contours and tooth
position. This unique "thermal adaptation" eliminates
seating interference and reduces chair time. In-vivo,
the patient's body temperature holds the inner layer at
a partially relaxed state while the Crystal ClearŽ outer layer remains hard. Our clients report that the
addition of TalonŽ has decreased initial seating time,
and has increased patient comfort and compliance.
